Job Description
Title: Sales Development Representative
Experience: 4+ years
Industry: IT Services
Role Type: Full-time
Net Solutions looking for an SDR to sit at the center of our lead-to-SQL motion. You'll work two parallel tracks: nurturing inbound marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) generated by our campaigns, and running structured outbound outreach against target account lists you're handed. In both cases, your job is the same — move a contact from awareness to a genuine, call-ready Sales Qualified Lead (SQL): someone with an immediate or near-term requirement who's willing to get on a call with us.
Responsibilities
- Own and work the inbound MQL queue — engage leads from marketing campaigns via call, email, and LinkedIn, and nurture them to SQL
- Run outbound outreach against assigned target account lists, applying a structured multi-touch cadence to build awareness, interest, and consideration
- Personalize campaign messaging and collateral (provided by marketing) to each prospect's specific business context, challenges, and relevant Net Solutions offering — this isn't a copy-paste job
- Apply sound sales technique across the funnel — you should know why a cold outbound message and a warm inbound follow-up need different approaches, and adjust accordingly
- Work closely with marketing and sales teammates to plan outreach, share what's landing (or not) with prospects, and refine messaging and targeting based on real conversations
- Keep CRM records current — activity logs, conversation notes, lead/account stage — so pipeline visibility is accurate for the wider team
- Report on your own funnel metrics (MQL→SQL volume and conversion, outbound response rates) on a regular cadence
Key Requirements
- 4–6 years in inside sales, sales development, or business development, with meaningful time spent selling IT services, software/product engineering, or other B2B professional services
- Demonstrated experience selling to and communicating directly with C-level and senior decision-makers at Western (US/UK) companies — comfortable with enterprise buying dynamics and multi-stakeholder conversations
- Excellent written and verbal English communication — sharp enough for C-level email correspondence and live calls
- Working familiarity with sales/demand-gen techniques across the funnel, not just script-reading
- Strong research instincts — able to take standard campaign material and tailor it convincingly to a specific company's situation
- Comfortable and available for UK/US-aligned working hours
- Self-directed enough to manage a mixed pipeline of inbound and outbound prospects without close supervision
Nice to Have
- Experience carrying a lead through to a qualified, budget-confirmed Opportunity, not just handoff at SQL
- Ability to take a validated SQL further to an Opportunity — confirming the prospect has adequate budget and that what they're asking for is something Net Solutions can realistically build and deliver
- Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- Prior exposure to data & AI engineering, legacy modernization, or digital product engineering as a domain — you don't need to be technical, but familiarity helps with faster, more credible personalization
- Comfort using AI tools to speed up research and outreach personalization
