Job Description

Title: Senior Presales Analyst

Experience: 6+ years

Industry: IT Services

We are looking for a Senior Pre-Sales Analyst who can operate as a thinking individual contributor across complex digital opportunities. The role requires someone who can understand business problems, structure ambiguity, ask the right discovery questions, define scope, support solutioning, coordinate estimation, and prepare client-ready proposals. We need a person who brings judgment, structure, ownership, and solution awareness to the pre-sales cycle. The right candidate should be able to work on mid to complex opportunities and support senior stakeholders with clear, practical, and well-reasoned pre-sales output.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Discovery and Requirement Analysis
  • Review client briefs, RFPs, RFIs, meeting notes, and sales handovers.
  • Identify business objectives, user roles, workflows, integrations, data needs, reporting needs, non-functional requirements, and open questions.
  • Prepare discovery questions that clarify scope, business priorities, technical dependencies, timelines, and commercial risks.
  • Structure unclear requirements into internal notes that technical, UX, QA, and delivery teams can use for estimation.
  • 2. Proposal and RFP Response Ownership
  • Create client-ready proposals for custom software, eCommerce, SaaS, mobile apps, marketplace platforms, AI workflows, and enterprise systems.
  • Support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses with structured content, compliance mapping, clarification logs, SME input tracking, and final submission quality.
  • Prepare solid proposals for submission.
  • 3. Solutioning Support
  • The candidate must understand software solutioning at a business- readable level.
  • Expected awareness includes:
  • Custom build versus platform implementation
  • Monolithic versus headless architecture
  • SaaS versus custom product engineering
  • Platform migration versus optimization
  • Direct integration versus middleware-led integration
  • MVP versus full roadmap
  • Web, mobile, APIs, databases, cloud, admin panels, third-party tools, and integrations
  • Non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, performance, logging, compliance, accessibility, and data privacy
  • 4. Scope, Estimation, and Commercial Support
  • Create role-wise and module-wise feature lists.
  • Define MVP scope and future-phase items.
  • Coordinate estimation inputs with technical, UX, QA, PM, DevOps, and delivery teams.
  • Review estimates for completeness against scope, integrations, UX complexity, QA coverage, deployment, and project management effort.
  • Understand Fixed Price, Time and Material, Dedicated Team, Retainer, and Discovery-led engagement models.
  • Identify when a requirement is too unclear for fixed-price estimation.
  • Document assumptions and exclusions clearly to avoid delivery disputes and scope creep.

Key Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Strong requirement analysis and scope structuring skills.
  • Ability to create clear feature lists, scope documents, solution summaries, and proposal sections.
  • Practical understanding of custom software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to coordinate with technical and delivery teams for feasibility and estimation.
  • Understanding of web, mobile, APIs, integrations, databases, cloud, and third-party systems.
  • Ability to define assumptions, exclusions, dependencies, and risks.
  • Commercial understanding of Fixed Price, T&M, Dedicated Team, and Discovery-led models.
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising quality.
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail, and documentation discipline.

Nice to Have

  • eCommerce platform exposure: Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or similar.
  • Understanding of PIM, OMS, CMS, CRM, ERP, payment gateways, shipping providers, analytics, and marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with SaaS, marketplaces, workflow automation, AI-enabled platforms, or enterprise applications.
  • Exposure to Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, Draw.io, Visio, MS Office, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Salesforce, or proposal management tools.
  • Experience with international clients across the US, UK, Europe, Middle East, or APAC.
